Emily Ratajkowski: Black Leather, Red Venom

Winter dressing gets considerably more interesting once Emily Ratajkowski enters the equation. Photographed in New York on February 6, 2026, she built the entire look around one uninterrupted column of black leather, then allowed deep burgundy snakeskin to emerge underneath. A dark monogram Gucci tote, narrow sunglasses and chandelier earrings added several smaller textures without disturbing the long silhouette. The result lands somewhere between old New York glamour and something slightly predatory.
The coat is the anchor. Emily Ratajkowski wore a long black leather trench with an oversized black fur collar and cuffs, cinched tightly with its own belt. The piece closely matches the Nour Hammour Freja, a coat she has worn previously in 2023.
For the recreation, STAND STUDIO Estella Coat preserves almost every important design code. Its black faux-leather body falls to mid-calf, while a plush faux-fur shawl collar and cuffs amplify the shoulders and wrists. A removable belt brings the waist back into focus. The contrast between smooth leather and dense fur is essential here; a plain trench would lose the decadent winter weight that makes Emily’s look memorable.
Then the boots change the mood completely. Emily Ratajkowski wore knee-high burgundy snakeskin boots with an elongated pointed toe and narrow heel. Castagna Nimes Snake-Effect Knee-High Boots make an especially convincing substitute. The bordeaux calf leather, reptile texture, pointed toe and sculpted heel carry the same poisonous-red quality. The color is dark enough to sit comfortably against black while still reading clearly with every step.
Emily Ratajkowski carried the Gucci Giglio Large Tote in dark GG canvas, a roomy logo-covered style with the house’s Web stripe. Gucci’s repeated monogram prevents the black outfit from becoming visually flat and gives the look a slightly louder luxury note. The Giglio has become one of Ratajkowski’s recurring bags, including this darker version worn with the snakeskin boots.
There are two useful routes for recreating it. Gherardini Logo-Monogram Shoulder Bag keeps the lightweight Italian construction, dark all-over pattern and gold hardware while producing a softer hobo shape. GUESS USA Meridian Logo-Print Monogram Tote stays closer to the visual logic of the Gucci through its larger structured body, black-on-black repeated motif and long handles. Gherardini makes the outfit slouchier; GUESS keeps the monogram statement more obvious.
Around the face, Emily Ratajkowski kept things severe with narrow black rectangular sunglasses. The exact pair from this outing remains unidentified, making A.Kjaerbede Alex Sunglasses a smart replacement. The Copenhagen eyewear label uses a clean rectangular frame, molded nose pads and dark lenses, keeping the same low, horizontal emphasis across the face.
The final shift comes from jewelry. Emily’s dangling earrings add movement beside the enormous fur collar. ALÉMAIS Le Jardin Coin Chandelier Earrings exaggerate that idea through a cascade of gold-tone coin motifs and fine drops. Handmade in Indonesia, they bring a bohemian shimmer that cuts through all the black without introducing another color.
The strength of this Emily Ratajkowski look comes from texture doing the work usually assigned to layering. The palette stays disciplined, while every surface behaves differently. Recreate that hierarchy and the outfit retains its impact: one monumental black coat, one venomous red boot, then smaller accessories allowed to whisper around them.
