Firming cream suddenly sounds almost quaint. This year's collagen launches are trying to own specific technologies, rituals and areas of the face. Some deliver collagen fragments directly, while others focus on peptides and ingredients intended to support the skin's natural collagen.
Clinique has brought PDRN into the conversation, Dermalogica wants us to “bank” collagen for later, Shiseido is studying facial architecture, and Biodance has turned the category into something you can spray over makeup. Collagen has become less of a single ingredient story and more of a beauty battleground.
Clinique's newest Smart Clinical Repair cream captures two major skincare fixations in one jar: collagen and PDRN. Its PDRN is biotech-derived from cica and sits alongside collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid and glycerin, with Clinique reporting improved texture and radiance after one use and visibly plumper, firmer skin after four weeks.

Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Kunal Malik, an assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai, has specifically discussed the formula and highlighted the importance of PDRN source, molecular weight, stability and its surrounding ingredients. For a heritage American beauty brand, adopting one of K-beauty's hottest regenerative technologies feels like a clear sign of how competitive collagen skincare has become.
Paula's Choice gave its September launch a famous face. Hannah Waddingham fronts the campaign for the new Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Intensive Moisturizer and has described using it as a favorite part of her routine.

The richer cream targets dry, changing skin through a peptide-centered formula designed around visible plumpness and firmness. Its launch also expands Paula's Choice's existing Pro-Collagen franchise into a more intensive format, showing how brands are building whole collagen wardrobes instead of relying on a single hero serum.
Lancôme went straight for the dramatic number. Rénergie Collagen+ Lift-Xtend Cream is positioned around correcting visible effects associated with 10 years of collagen loss, while the brand reports skin appearing 57% more toned after four hours. Its formula combines collagen fibers, a collagen peptide and copper tripeptide, wrapped in an unusually elastic, thread-like texture inspired by lifting techniques.

Dermatologist Dr. Natalia Jiménez of Grupo Pedro Jaén also joined Lancôme's 2026 collagen conversation, explaining that effective cosmetic strategy centers on stimulating the skin's own collagen production.
Dermalogica has given collagen preservation a wonderfully financial name: collagen banking. The Pro-Collagen Banking Water Cream launched on March 6 with a peptide complex, collagen amino acids and water-burst technology intended to support skin resilience and preserve structural proteins.

Dermalogica reports 44% more collagen and 56% more elastin in vitro, alongside visible fine-line improvement within three days. Collagen has officially entered its investment-account era.
Clarins brought nearly half a century of firmness research into its 2026 Extra-Firming Energy launch. Its new [COLLAGEN]³ Technology centers on a biotech collagen polypeptide alongside plant extracts, with the brand reporting 23% firmer-looking skin and 33% greater radiance after seven days.

Dr. Olivier Courtin-Clarins connects the new formula to almost 50 years of Clarins research into what the company calls the skin's “collagen capital.” Even collagen now has its own luxury vocabulary.
Shiseido Vital Perfection Intensive SculptDefine Serum uses D-AminoLift Complex with watercress extract, which the brand says supports the skin's natural collagen, while also targeting the appearance of cheek sagging, marionette lines, nasolabial folds and neck wrinkles.

After eight weeks, Shiseido reports 21% improved elasticity, 17% improvement in marionette lines and 20% improvement in nasolabial folds.
Biodance may have created the most playful collagen format of the year. Its Collagen Peptide Jelly Serum Mist translates the brand's hydrogel expertise into a spray containing 243Da ultra-low-molecular collagen, delivering a concentrated serum through an ultra-fine mist.

The brand's testing reports 231.83% immediate surface-moisture improvement, 203.23% moisture retention after 24 hours and 95.87% improved makeup adhesion, with testing connected to Human Dermatology Clinic Cheongna. By June, more than 4,000 units were reportedly selling each month on Amazon.
Anua attached the tool directly to the tube. Its new Collagen Retinol Refining Gua Sha Cream has a wide W-shaped cooling massage head designed for the jawline and neck, while encapsulated retinol, collagen and peptides target firmness and contour care.

Celebrity aesthetician Melissa Fox, whose clients include Olivia Culpo and Elle Macpherson, specifically recommended the cream for firmer-looking neck and jawline skin. Kendall Jenner, Anua's 2026 global ambassador, has also shown the product among the Anua formulas she uses.
This year's collagen race is producing far more than another shelf of firming creams. In 2026, collagen gets a brand into the race. The harder challenge is giving people a new reason to choose one jar, mist or serum over the next.
