On November 18, 2025, Ralph Lauren announced the new artists in its Artist in Residence program, in collaboration with the Indigenous-led brand Tópa.

Jocy and Trae Little Sky, both artists, designers, and members of the Oceti Sakowin alliance, created a collaborative collection full of cultural meaning, combining Polo Ralph Lauren’s modern fashion style with the rich heritage of Indigenous communities. The collection is now part of Ralph Lauren’s Fall and Holiday line, offering a fashion experience that is both luxurious and culturally significant.

The name Tópa comes from the Oceti Sakowin language and means “four,” symbolizing the four directions, four seasons, four stages of life, and four representative colors: red, black, yellow, and white. These elements are thoughtfully incorporated into each piece, from Thípi Reflections jackets to ready-to-wear designs. A portion of the collection’s proceeds will be donated to the Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation to support Lakota language and education initiatives.

Jocy and Trae Little Sky are well known for traditional techniques such as beadwork, quillwork, and leathercraft, which are often used in Pow Wow ceremonial attire. This collaboration not only highlights cultural value but also reflects Ralph Lauren’s commitment through the Design With Intent program, connecting American heritage with the communities that inspire the brand’s designs.

The Polo Ralph Lauren x Tópa collection demonstrates that fashion is more than clothing. It is a way to tell stories, preserve culture, and amplify diverse voices in the global industry. This collaboration marks a significant step in honoring the creativity of Indigenous artists and bringing cultural heritage into the spotlight of contemporary fashion.
