Kylie Jenner’s first shoe collection for the label arrives with just three silhouettes: the Studio Thong, Muse Thong and Icon Sandal. Handmade in Italy, the range keeps things compact while moving between black leather, metallic chrome, crisp white and chocolate pony hair.
The most amusing part is that the launch technically started before anyone knew it had. Back in June, Jenner wore the metallic Icon Sandal courtside at an NBA Finals game with Timothée Chalamet. What looked like another extremely committed basketball heel was actually an unreleased Khy prototype getting its first public test drive.
The designs lean into the ’90s and early 2000s without turning the collection into a nostalgia costume. The Studio is an ultra-clean thong sandal, the Muse builds the same idea into a sculptural wedge, while the strappy Icon carries the strongest Y2K energy through its buckles, chrome finish and elongated heel.
The partnership also makes sense beyond celebrity familiarity. Kylie Jenner has worn Gia Borghini for years, while the Florence-founded label has built its reputation around sharply constructed footwear made in Italy. The collection launches August 21, finally giving everyone else access to the shoes Kylie Jenner has apparently been soft-launching all summer. For Khy, entering footwear turns out to be less of a debut than a very well-dressed reveal.
