Balmain x Brave Kid brought Balmain’s childrenswear ambitions back into sharp focus, the agreement gives Brave Kid responsibility for the development, production, and exclusive worldwide distribution of Balmain childrenswear for boys and girls aged 0 to 16. The partnership begins with the Spring/Summer 2027 season, giving the house a new structure and a much broader scope than its earlier, smaller-scale entry into the category.
The new arrangement covers girls’, boys’, baby, and newborn collections, which immediately turns Balmain childrenswear into a far more complete universe. Showroom presentations are scheduled to begin in June 2026 in Milan, Paris, and New York, with distribution set for November 2026 across Balmain flagships, Balmain’s e-commerce, Brave Kid’s platform, and selected childrenswear retailers worldwide.

There is also a clear line back to Balmain’s first move into the category. In January 2016, Olivier Rousteing introduced Balmain Kids, the house’s first childrenswear line, a 55-piece collection for ages 6 to 14 that translated Balmain’s embellished, military-tinged glamour into miniature form. A decade later, Balmain x Brave Kid feels like the next chapter in that story: the same desire to extend the house’s image into younger wardrobes, now backed by a dedicated childrenswear specialist and a much more expansive age range.
As the OTB Group company dedicated to children’s ready-to-wear and accessories, it already handles a portfolio that includes Diesel, Marni, MM6 Maison Margiela, Dsquared2, N°21, MAX&Co., and MYAR. Balmain x Brave Kid arrives with long-term intent, built around know-how in translating adult designer language into childrenswear with consistency and global reach.
Balmain carries a house image shaped by precision, decoration, and Parisian confidence. Brave Kid brings the technical and commercial machinery needed to turn that image into a worldwide children’s business. Together, they set up a version of Balmain childrenswear that can move beyond the idea of mini-me dressing and toward a fully articulated category with its own rhythm, scale, and future.
Balmain x Brave Kid turned a familiar house ambition into a stronger global proposition. Ten years after Balmain first entered childrenswear, the new licensing deal gives that instinct a bigger frame, a younger reach, and a clearer path forward. In that sense, Balmain x Brave Kid reads as both continuation and reset: one chapter remembering where Balmain Kids began, and another opening with far greater scale.
