Susie Cave Weddings & Funerals was introduced as a London atelier opening in May 2026, offering black-and-white demi-couture and a core set of 25 made-to-order silhouettes. The pieces could be customized with capes, trains, veils, and embellishments, and the palette stayed disciplined in ink and ivory, with silk, silk velvet, and organdy carrying the collection’s richness through texture rather than print.

That clarity gives the launch its strength. Susie Cave did not return by attempting to rebuild an entire universe overnight. She returned by narrowing the frame and sharpening the emotion. The result reads as a brand built around occasions charged with feeling, garments shaped for ritual, performance, tenderness, and presence. Even the name understands that fashion can hold contradictions beautifully: romance and gravity, ceremony and private feeling, polish and strangeness.

There is also a strong sense of authorship running through the project. The new venture was positioned as small and personal, with Cave working with a close-knit team and opening a Kensington shop designed by Groves Natcheva. After the wider wholesale ambitions that overtook her previous label, this new chapter feels deliberately scaled, almost protective in its structure, as though the clothes are being brought closer to the hand again.
