Boho Is Blowing Back Into Fall 2026

Coachella gave boho an easy stage in 2026 because festival dressing already understands its instincts: clothes that sway, surfaces touched by hand, pieces collected across years and places, and styling that gains character from a little disorder. Summer built the mood through crochet, suede, charms, scarves and barely-there layers. By May, Bella Hadid was carrying that spirit far beyond the festival grounds.

During Cannes, Hadid stepped out in a vintage sheer blouse sourced by Mimi Cuttrell from Preluvd’s “Euro Summer Edit.” A deep ruffled neckline, bow fastening, pleated panels, tassel details and scattered sequins gave the piece the emotional density of something found.

For the New York premiere of Lioness Season 3, Nicole Kidman wore Look 32 from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut Fendi Haute Couture collection: a sheer muted-gold tunic covered in beadwork, embroidery and crystal rivulets, falling over fluid white trousers. The workmanship gave transparency a new weight. Light still passed through the garment, yet the surface carried enough ornament to make the body shimmer with every movement.

The Runway Has Given Boho More Places to Go

At Chloé, Chemena Kamali lets boho drift directly into romantic history. Her Fall 2026 collection began with Dutch folk costume and expanded through references to Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, and the house’s own hippie lineage. Tiered mousseline, faded checks, micro-floral quilting, and hand-knit Tyrolean sweaters sit beside blouses transformed through Victorian volume.

Zimmermann sends that wanderlust in another direction. Nicky Zimmermann built Fall 2026 around trailblazing Australian women of the 1920s, including novelist Miles Franklin and pioneering motorists Kathleen Howell and Jean Robertson. The collection moves through boho power dressing, lingerie layers, autumnal knitwear, and scarf-like constructions printed with sepia illustrations resembling old geographic books, complete with koalas and platypuses.

Etro turns the volume higher. Marco De Vincenzo described the house’s bohemian side as “hyper-colored, maximalist, a little mad,” and Fall 2026 delivers that energy through sheers, textured wool, crochet, sequins, feathers and handmade dresses populated by three-dimensional exotic creatures.

At Dries Van Noten, Julian Klausner gives boho a younger intellectual life. School-uniform structures collide with grunge plaid, embroidered ribbon, bronze jacquard, denim, pixelated seventeenth-century still lifes, sequins and glass beads.

Ulla Johnson brings that collected spirit into modern city life. Fall 2026 moves through dressed-up denim, ’70s-inflected tailoring, feathered evening pieces and the bohemian dresses long central to the house, including multicolored fringe and metallic floral fil coupé.

Then Isabel Marant closes the circle through her own recent history. Kim Bekker looked directly toward 2010, revisiting a period when Marant’s Parisian boho helped define an entire generation of cool. Distressed embroidery, denim, leather, shearling, fur and revived snake print turn the house archive into a living reference point.

Perhaps that longevity explains why boho keeps returning with such ease. Every season gives it another landscape, another fabric, another woman to inhabit. Long may it wander.
