Kim Jones originally launched his own menswear label in 2003 before moving through Dunhill, Louis Vuitton, Dior Men and Fendi. His revival will keep tailoring and streetwear at its core, but the wardrobe is being designed with greater gender fluidity and versatility. Clothing will be produced primarily in Japan, while leather goods will come from Italy. Longtime collaborator Lucy Beeden is also joining the project.
The first collection arrives online in mid-2027 through monthly drops. Kim Jones has also hinted at archive revivals, including reversible smoking jackets and patchwork shirts, giving his earlier work a place inside the new chapter.
The first permanent Kim Jones store will open at Central Yards in Hong Kong in October 2027, positioning Asia at the centre of the brand from day one. Jones has longstanding connections across the region, while Hong Kong offers direct access to one of luxury’s most important consumer markets.
After years spent reshaping some of fashion’s largest houses, this move strips the equation back to authorship. No inherited archive, no historical founder, no house codes waiting to be interpreted. For the first time in decades, the institution being built around clothes will simply carry the name Kim Jones.
