The collaboration grows out of a much longer relationship. Holly Falcone, Celisse’s co-founder and creative director, has led the nail looks backstage at Sandy Liang for the past 15 seasons. That history makes Ribbon feel like a runway detail finally moving into retail.

Its soft pearl blue references the satin ribbons that repeatedly appear throughout Liang’s world, from garment details to the bows used on the brand’s shopping bags. The shade debuted during the label’s Fall Winter 2026 show, where nails became another small extension of the collection’s romantic, nostalgic visual language.

The smartest part of collaboration is its scale. Sandy Liang’s ribbons have become instantly recognisable without functioning like a conventional logo, and translating that code into nail polish gives customers access to the brand through color instead of clothing.

The timing also feels especially neat after Sandy Liang SS27, where the designer softened some of her familiar girlhood codes through sportier, more practical dressing while keeping ribbons, bows and delicate details woven into the collection. Even as the wardrobe grows more functional, those small signatures continue to anchor the Sandy Liang universe.

Celisse keeps the product aligned with its existing formula, which the brand says dries in 90 seconds and supports nail growth. Ribbon retails for $25 and launches through Celisse online and Sandy Liang’s Orchard Street store.

A backstage relationship, a runway shade and a familiar house code have now been compressed into one tiny bottle, making Celisse x Sandy Liang a particularly neat example of fashion and beauty speaking the same visual language.
