For its fifth anniversary, To Summer returns to Pure Summer like a letter reopened after years in a drawer, creased, tea-stained, and still full of feeling. Through Unsent Letter, Shape of Night, and Seaside, the collection gathers the traces of a long season and turns them into fragrance once again.

My Dear Old Friend,
On April 20, 2026, To Summer marked the fifth anniversary of Pure Summer, returning to the season it has been writing for more than 1,800 days with a new note of tenderness. To Summer’s letter for the milestone opens like something rescued from a far gone into oblivion drawer: blotted words, torn corners, a tea stain left by distraction, all the small imperfections that end up holding the most ardent parts of memory. The 2026 Pure Summer 5th Anniversary collection gathers three perfumes under that ambience: Unsent Letter, Shape of Night, and Seaside.

Long summer, in To Summer’s hands lay a polished postcard living in residue: the mark the sun leaves on skin, the rough edge of a ticket stub, the sentence you crossed out yet still meant. As fresh and intriguing as a late-sent letter, the collection speaks of how real feeling lingers in the draft. At the heart of the brand’s anniversary message, revisions of unfinished thoughts were realized as the most faithful record of a lived-in memory.
And so the three scents feel like three keepsakes tucked into the same envelope.
Unsent Letter is a poetic floral-woody scent, which makes it the softest confession of the set. I imagine it as paper warmed by the hand, that cross-out-but-I-really-meant-it line, the kind of whispering fragrance. Its ambience is private, almost interior of a beating heart.
Shape of Night moves differently. Built around ylang-ylang, jasmine, and white linen, it sounds like evening settling into fabric - more intimate, and a little elusive. The name gives it contour, though the notes keep it tender. Here, the ambience is a room after sunset, windows open, a dress hung over the chair.
Seaside is condensed through sea salt, Michelia alba, and white musk, a floral-herbaceous structure with a concentrated finish. That combination suggests a shoreline, textured by the grain of remembrance: salt at the collarbone, white blossoms in humid air, the clean pull of musk trail where the wind has kissed.
Fifth anniversaries often invite brands to look back. To Summer chose something more affecting. It looked at what had blurred, what had frayed, what had never been fully said - then bottled that instead. If you have time, perhaps come spend a little of this pure summer with it.
